15 Waldo
American Staffordshire Terrier Boxer Mix
Large Adult Male

UPDATE: 1/24, You ask, where is Waldo, he is still at the pound, waiting for his forever home! We are not sure why Waldo hasn't found a home yet. This dog has been friendly with everyone who has spent time with him. Waldo can be a little rough about taking treats, he is so eager for that yummy biscuit, but some training should help. But say sit, and boom, he's sitting, he is so eager to please humans. We volunteers are fond of Waldo, please help us make Waldo's dream of his own family come true! Waldo came to the pound on 12/23, but was not able to be walked. He wasn't a happy camper. He was given some time to relax, and get used to his surroundings, and finally, he was wanting to go outside! Waldo's tail rarely stops wagging, he is so happy to be able to go outside now, but would be much happier out of the pound, and into a loving home! Please help that dream become a reality for Waldo. He has been so well behaved, more on the calm side, and boy does he love his treats. He will sit nicely when asked to. Please take some time out of your day to meet Waldo! $86.00 fee includes OH license, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccine, Hw testing, Worming and spay/neuter. Flea treatment will be provided if fleas are noticed. All dogs will be spayed/neutered and micro chipped before leaving the pound unless other arrangements are made to have your dog fixed elsewhere and approved by the warden. An e-collar may be purchased for $ 10.00. Because most of our dogs were picked up as strays, we have no knowledge of any behavior or health issues. Stray dogs are held for 72 hours before being placed for adoption. We welcome and encourage the cross posting of our dog's pictures to increase adoptions.

37 Tony
Tibetan Spaniel Mix
Small Young Male

Tony was owner surrendered today 1/22. He was adopted from the pound about 1 month ago but the person who adopted him really didn't have the time to spend with a young dog. He is available for immediate adoption. Tony has some energy, he loves to play, and will run and bring the ball back, and hope you throw it again, and again! What a cute fellow he is too, and sits so pretty when asked to! Tony needs some guidance and seems eager to learn. Neutered, micro chipped, and ready to go! Please give Tony a chance, he is so unhappy at the pound, stuck in a small cage. $86.00 fee includes OH license, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccine, Hw testing, Worming and spay/neuter. ISO-2 Penny
Shar Pei Mix
Large Young Female

Release date 1/13. UPDATE 11/22. Penny is being treated for some skin issues and wounds. She is the sweetest girl. Penny arrived at the pound with her side kick Topaz, in cage 27. Both girls are somewhat nervous, and wondering where they are. Penny has what appears to be inverted eyelids, which can be common in the Shar Pei breed. She hasn't been seen by the vet yet, we will update as to her findings, and hopefully Penny will get some relief. Penny was slower to warm up to everyone than Topaz, but she's doing good, and learning to trust us, she was much more relaxed after spending time with several volunteers. She is a beautiful brindle color, and on the calm side, sits when you ask her to, listens well. Penny and Topaz enjoyed hanging out together, and shared a soft bed while having photos taken. We'd love to see them returned home, but that may not happen, so please consider giving this lovely dog a home. A home with Topaz would be ideal, but both would be happy to be out of the pound, and in a loving home, even if they have to part. Please stop in and meet this endearing dog, and also meet Topaz, watch them together, and see if you have room for two in your home, and in your heart! ISO-3 Topaz
Shar Pei Mix
Large Young Female

Update 1/24. Topaz, along with her buddy, Penny has been diagnosed with entropion, or inverted eyelids. Friends of Stark Pound will pay for her surgery. Release date 1/13. Topaz was brought in as a stray with her friend Penny, in cage 26. The two enjoyed seeing each other, and spending some time together. Topaz is a little braver than Penny, and warmed up to everyone much quicker. She is of a light tan color, and very pretty, and lots of wrinkles! Both girls seem well behaved, and listened pretty good. Topaz will sit for her treats, and walks very well while on the leash. This pretty girl along with her buddy, would love for you to come and meet her, and Penny too! But if two isn't in your budget, please consider one of these sweet dogs, we are sure they will adjust, and be happy to be in a loving home. $86.00 fee includes OH license, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccine, Hw testing, Worming and spay/neuter. 18 Dexter
American Bulldog Mix
Large Young Male

Update 1/24: Dexter is not understanding why he is still here in a pen? Poor guy, we thought he would have been adopted before now. He is getting frustrated in his pen, but once outside, he settles down, and enjoys attention from the volunteers. We hope someone will visit Dexter soon, and fall in love with this handsome young dog. Release date 1/12. Dexter wasn't too happy about being picked up and brought to the pound, but he is much more relaxed now, and was warming up to all the volunteers fussing over him. He even started playing and forgetting where he was. Dexter is so handsome, sits so proudly, and looks almost like a statue. This shy guy would love for his family to come bust him out of this place, but sadly it probably isn't going to happen. He sits when he is asked to, seems to be a calm dog. Give him a few minutes to check things out, and he will soon be by your side, enjoying some attention. So please, stop by and ask to meet Dexter. $86.00 fee includes OH license, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccine, Hw testing, Worming and spay/neuter. Flea treatment will be provided if fleas are noticed. Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix
Large Young Female

Update 1/24: Ursula seems more relaxed, if not distracted by other dogs. She was enjoying her time outside, sitting for her treats, and interacting with volunteers.
